Emirates News Agency – Dubai Islamic Authority: Launches the “Imam Ibn Majah Week” event

DUBAI, 24th November, 2020 (WAM) — The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai today launched the “Imam Ibn Majah Week” event, which is organized by the Department of Education and Religious Guidance at the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Islamic Culture as part of the programs of the department’s religious awareness plan in the emirate for the year 2022 AD under the title of the annual cultural week. And in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Sheikh Ahmed Al-Shaibani, Director General of the Department, Dr. Omar Muhammad Al-Khatib, Executive Director of the Islamic Affairs Sector, some department directors, and a group of scholars, muftis and researchers in the Department.

The scientific symposium began with a speech by Sheikh Khalid Ismail, a senior preacher at the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai, in which he mentioned some of the biography of Imam Ibn Majah, his translation, and his sheikhs, introducing the Imam, who is the great hafiz, the proof, the interpreter Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Yazid “Ibn Majah” born in 209 He was known for his knowledge, piety, and piety, and he has many books, the most prominent of which is the book Al-Sunan. Dr. Abd al-Hakim al-Anees, chief researcher in the department, touched on the books and writings authored by Imam Ibn Majah and the approach he followed in his book al-Sunan.
