DUBAI, 22nd September / WAM/ The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center today announced the launch of the “Emirates Space Art Program” in cooperation with “Jusoor”, with the aim of documenting the most important moments and historical developments recorded by the UAE on its journey towards space and its unique participation within the creative cultural industries to leave A valuable imprint for future generations.
The new program will attract a wide range of creative talents in the UAE to participate in the National Space Program with the aim of highlighting the country’s efforts to explore space according to new concepts that are reflected through artworks and other available creative media.
This step will contribute to shedding light on the areas of space and enhancing the interaction of members of the Emirati society, especially the younger generation, with the UAE’s journey into space, which will leave a solid imprint on the local and international artistic heritage alike.
Engineer Salem Al Marri, Deputy Director General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, said, “In light of the rapid prosperity and exceptional achievements in the space sector in the country, we realized that there is no better time than now to explore the technical aspects of our journey, relying on a variety of styles, media and technical methods. Through this step, we highlight our achievements in the field of space in a simplified manner that allows everyone to realize the importance of what we have achieved.”
Al Marri added that this program will provide an opportunity to translate the diverse meanings of the country’s growing achievements in the space sector into works of art close to society and invest them in telling stories rich in high values and contribute to enriching the artistic scene in the UAE in general.”
The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center has signed a fruitful strategic partnership with Jusoor, a private local social initiative, which plays an active role in engaging the cultural and creative sector in the country. Under this partnership, the program will be developed, strategies strengthened, and supervised to achieve the desired goals.
For his part, Omar Al-Shannar, founder and CEO of Jusoor, expressed his pride in cooperating with the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center to implement this program, the first of its kind, which aims to celebrate the country’s achievements through various artistic and cultural means in the UAE.

The Emirates Space Art Program will seek to maintain dialogue and interaction around the National Space Program by strengthening the link between various forms of science and arts in society, in conjunction with celebrating the UAE’s achievements in the field of space.
It should be noted that Jusoor was established in 2018 as a private local social initiative that aims to identify current and future social and economic challenges and develop innovative and sustainable programs and concepts to confront them by engaging the cultural and creative industries in cooperation with the public and private sectors within the country to contribute to addressing these challenges.
