He was also elected Abdullah Nasser Al-Junaibi, First Vice President of the UAE Football Association, President of the Professional League, and member of the Executive Office of the Asian Football Confederation.
5 representatives of the continent of Asia were also elected to the FIFA Council, and they are Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, President of the Qatar Football Association, Yasser Al-Mishal, President of the Saudi Football Association, Kozo Tashima from Japan, and Datuk Haji Hamdin bin Haji from Malaysia.
