His Highness also received the student, Khamis Al-Junaibi, who won first place in the International Mathematical Olympiad, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Al Muhairi received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California in the United States, while he received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto in the Engineering Science program – specializing in Physics, and the award for the best Ph.D. thesis at the University of California in the field of mathematics, natural sciences and engineering.
