The former international star and historical scorer of the UAE League and Al-Wasl club, Fahd Khamis, reassured the fans of his health, after he was exposed to an illness that forced him to bed. He said in a phone call to him, “Emirates Today”: “I am fine and in good health.”

Fahd Khamis is considered one of the best scorers who passed the UAE football, whether with his club Al Wasl or during his career with the UAE national team, with whom he participated in the World Cup finals in Italy 1990.
Fahd Khamis retired from playing after a long career full of many accomplishments and championships that spanned from 1980 to 1997. During his long football career, he scored 175 goals, while participating with the national team in 82 matches, the most prominent of which was his participation against Colombia and Yugoslavia in the World Cup 90.
Fahd Khamis held a historic retirement party in 1999, with the participation of a group of the most prominent stars of Emirati, Gulf and Arab football.
