“You’ve heard the rumors.. and we’re happy to confirm they’re true (some of them). Everything will be revealed later this year,” reads Ferrari’s social networks, accompanied by a photo of the front of the car, which appears to be the upcoming Purosangue SUV.
The darkened trailer gives a good idea of the front design and confirms the authenticity of the photos leaked a few weeks ago. The Purosangue will be Ferrari’s tallest model with increased ground clearance, massive front bumper intakes and a strip connecting the LED headlights. These are inspired by the SF90 supersport.
Earlier leaked images revealed more of the novelty of the design. The side profile comes with black wheel arches, side sills, five-spoke rims and an aerodynamic roofline.
The rear is aggressively designed with the 296 GTB-inspired taillights with integrated intakes and four exhaust heads in the diffuser area.
Technical specifications remain a mystery at present. Speculation is talking about six cylinders, eight cylinders and twelve cylinders. Production of the Ferrari Purosangue will begin in 2022, soon after it came online, with first deliveries expected in 2023.
