The activities of the tenth session of the Dubai Food Festival, the largest celebration in the region in the field of food and culinary arts, will start on April 21 and will continue until May 7, 2023, confirming Dubai’s position as a global capital for this field, including this year’s edition of various activities and events, with the participation of hundreds of restaurants and cafes. And the most skilled chefs, to provide the audience with unique culinary experiences and innovative local and international concepts in the field of food preparation over a period of 17 days.
Dubai continues to strengthen its position in the field of food tourism and the food and restaurant sector globally, as the food scene in the emirate has recorded remarkable development and significant growth over the past decade. This development was demonstrated by the doubling of the number of restaurants from 5,500 restaurants in 2013 to more than 13,000 restaurants in 2023, in keeping with the global character of the city, which embraces communities of more than 200 nationalities with diverse cultures and multiple tastes. Over the past decade, the food scene in Dubai has evolved, with snack carts and beach restaurants proliferating, as well as the emergence of many new concepts, food-related events and exceptional destinations. The Dubai Food Festival, organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Corporation, one of the institutions of the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai, includes many events, including the Dubai Restaurant Week, which launched its activities in 2016 and continues this year to provide exclusive dining experiences in a number of the emirate’s best restaurants at competitive prices. .
