The name of the American rap star, Kanye West, topped social networking sites during the past hours.
Where a clinic in London removes tattoos that bear the pictures or the name of the American rapper Kanye West, free of charge, because of his racist statements.
The clinic works under the “Second Chances” program to help people with tattoos of gang members or ex-cons who want to break free from their pasts.
More than 100 people have inquired about the details of the treatment. But two girls so far are undergoing the removal of tattoos bearing the image of Kanye West.
Student Kimberly Westgarth, 24, says, “I loved the music West made, and admired him and his advocacy for people with bipolar disorder. Now that his racist comments should be removed.”
The average total tattoo removal cost is £2,000 ($2,400) but varies according to the volume of ink and the number of sessions required. So this was an opportunity for Westgarth.
People who want to get rid of their tattoos will have to be able to stick to their 10-12 session appointments, which means people living abroad are unlikely to benefit from this.
Kanye West, also known as “Yi”, was famous for his controversial and provocative statements and positions. During the recent Paris Fashion Week, he wore a shirt that read “White Lives Matter”, in a modification of the famous slogan “Black Lives Matter”.
Twitter and Instagram also restricted West’s accounts after posts deemed anti-Semitic in which he identified with conspiracy theories related to the supposed influence of Jews.
“I will use you as an example to show the Jews who asked you to contact me that no one can threaten or influence me,” Kanye wrote in an interview with rapper Diddy, who criticized his shirt.
During an interview on Tucker Carlson Tonight and more recently on Infowars, Kanye told conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, “Everyone has something of value that they put on the table, especially Hitler.” He continued, “If that wasn’t clear enough, I love Hitler.”
Kanye West announced through his Instagram account last October that he lost $ 2 billion in one day, after many companies, such as Adidas, Balenciaga, CAA and MRC, decided to terminate their contract with him. His wax statue was also removed from Madame Tussauds, France.
The 45-year-old rapper, who has previously compared himself to Michelangelo, had his breakthrough in 2004 with the album “The College Dropout”, at the beginning of a career that brought a touch of soul and electro to his rap.
