On the 3rd of next December, the city of Riyadh will host a scientific forum entitled “Types of structural occlusion problems that require early treatment”, in the presence of a group of orthodontists and orthodontists, to present the latest findings of science and technology in this field, led by the Scientific Council of the Saudi Board of Orthodontics. Teeth, facial and maxillofacial bones, as part of the activities of the Fifth Trainee Day, in cooperation with the Saudi Orthodontic Society.
The head of the Scientific Council for Orthodontics and Oral and Maxillofacial Orthodontics, Dr. Iman Abdulbaset al-Namankani, stated that the great support by the wise leadership – may God support her – and by the Saudi Health Specialties Authority, reflected positively on the quality of the medical sector in general and the training programs in the specializations of orthodontics and orthodontics and maxillofacial bones in particular. Noting that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its outputs today take the health sector to a transformational shift that prompted many international bodies to choose the Kingdom as the first destination for transferring experiences and developments to it.
She pointed out that this event complements the system of medical events to develop the health sector in the Kingdom in order to improve the knowledge and experience of male and female doctors in this field, indicating that this forum will not be limited to scientific aspects only, but will also take into account the practical and psychological challenges that the trainees are exposed to.
Trainees in orthodontics and maxillofacial orthodontics look forward to the trainee’s day every year, as it is an opportunity for specialists and consultants to meet with trainees.
Among the most prominent participants in the famous American advisory forum is Professor Peter Ngan, Professor of the Branson Madrell Chair in Orthodontics at West Virginia State University, who graduated from Harvard Dental School and obtained certificates in orthodontics and pediatric dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dentistry and published 140 papers in The field of orthodontics and facial and maxillofacial bones.
