The French striker announced Olivier Giroud His departure from Chelsea, and his move to AC Milan, thanking his former colleagues, and the fans of the London club, during the period he spent at the club over the previous years.
Giroud said in a tweet via his personal account on the social networking site “Twitter”: “To all belonging to the Blues, to my fellow players and coaches, to everyone who belongs to the club, thank you very much for the moments spent with you.”
He continued, “I will start a new journey full of hope and happiness. Our previous victories in the FA Cup, the European League, and the Champions League were wonderful.”
On Thursday, Giroud arrived in Milan, to complete his transfer to Milan from Chelsea, with whom he won the Champions League last season.
Giroud, 34, is expected to sign a two-season contract with the Serie A runners-up, who will start his new season against Sampdoria in Genoa..
