Al-Jazira defeated its guest, Al-Nasr (4-3), in an exciting match that was held at Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, today, Friday, in the 22nd round of the ADNOC Professional League.
The match witnessed Ali Mabkhout, the player of Al-Jazira, scoring 3 “hat-trick” goals, equaling the number of goals of Laba Kodjo, the Al-Ain striker, at the top of the league’s scorers’ list with 22 goals each, while Al-Jazira raised his score to 40 points, and temporarily advanced to the 4th place, while the balance froze. Al-Nasr scored 23 points, and temporarily stayed in 9th place.
Abdullah Ramadan cut the goal bar in the match by scoring the first goal for Al Jazira in the 20th minute after a perfect counterattack, and Ali Mabkhout added the second goal from a penalty kick in the 52nd minute.
Ryan Mendez narrowed the difference by scoring a goal for victory in the 63rd minute, with a header he snatched after a corner kick played from the right side, while Adel Taarab equalized in the 69th minute, with a powerful missile shot, after a pass on the edge of the penalty area.
Al-Nasr’s crossbar blocked Abdullah Ramadan’s shot, and denied Al-Jazira a third goal in the 74th minute, before Al-Nasr notified the third goal in the 87th minute, with a header from Samir Mamisevich, taking advantage of a corner kick played from the left side.
Ali Mabkhout scored the equalizing goal for Al-Jazira in the 90 + 4 minute, with a ball that he fired from inside the penalty area, which hit the body of Al-Nasr defender, changed its direction and entered the net.
The referee awarded a penalty kick to Al-Jazira in the last minute of stoppage time after returning to video technology. Ali Mabkhout scored the fourth goal in the 101st minute, and Glauber Lima, Al-Nasr defender, was sent off in the 104th minute.
Within the same round, Bani Yas lost to its guest, Ittihad Kalba (1-2), at Al Shamkha Stadium, and its score froze at 22 points, and it temporarily remained in 10th place, while Ittihad Kalba raised its score to 29 points, and remained in 8th place.
Bani Yas opened the scoring with the first goal in the 10th minute, with a strong cross ball, which the Ittihad Kalba goalkeeper tried to catch, but it passed under his hands and entered the net.
Igor Rossi equalized for Ittihad Kalba with a powerful header after a corner kick played from the right side in the 56th minute, and Philip Kish added the second goal for Ittihad Kalba in the 69th minute, taking advantage of the lack of focus from Bani Yas defenders.
