Thank you for reading the news about technology: Google Chrome browser makes it easier to get a “screenshot” and now with the details of the news
Cairo – Samia Sayed – A recent report revealed that the Google Chrome browser is working on a new feature that makes it easier for users to take screenshots. According to a report issued by WindowsLatest, the tech giant is testing a new in-browser tool that will help users to take a screenshot without leaving the browser.
And for those unaware, Google has already introduced a screenshot tool for Android users and the company is now planning to roll out similar functionality in Chrome browser users on Windows 11, Windows 10, macOS, and ChromeOS.
According to the report, the feature will be Google’s implementation of the Web Capture tool offered by Microsoft Edge. The tool allows users to capture a specific section of the browser and copy the image to the clipboard or edit it.
Note that while the Web Capture tool in Edge only allows you to use the Windows Inking feature to edit the screenshot, the Screen Capture tool in Chrome opens the screenshot in a separate window with several editing options.
And if you want to try the new screenshot tool on Chrome browser, you can do so by enabling it by following these steps:
Install Chrome Canary or Chromium.
Visit chrome://flags through the address bar.
Enable the “Desktop screenshots” and “Desktop screenshots editing mode” tabs.
– Restart the browser.
