Gotham Knights features the biggest Gotham City video game release ever
The Gotham Knights, WB Montreal DC Superhero, will feature the largest version of the iconic Gotham City ever in a video game.
In an interview with detective gameGame director Jeff Elnor was asked how the Gotham Knights version of the capital’s main city compares to the open-world Gotham City seen in Batman: Arkham Knight.
“It’s very big,” Al-Nour said. “I haven’t put one map on top of the other, but our Gotham is a great place.”
Senior Producer Fleur Marty added: “This is without a doubt the largest version of Gotham to be seen in video games. The most important thing for us is its density and verticality. It contains many layers. The Batcycle is a long-term means of transportation.”
The Arkham Knight map was about five square miles, and consisted of three islands and multiple counties. Gotham’s sheer size is made possible by the Batmobile collection that helps you travel across vast terrain in speed and style. The Gotham Knights may not have a Batmobile, but they do have the Batcycle and other travel mechanics, whether it’s the Fast Bat-Fast Travel system, or items like the Nightwing flying trapeze skimmer.
