The Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts extinguished the torch of its thirty-sixth session on Saturday evening, which was held under the slogan « Layalina illuminated” and included artistic participations from Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Palestine, Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
The Jordanian Minister of Culture, Haifa Al-Najjar, supervised the ceremony of extinguishing the festival flame in the ancient city, in the presence of Ahmed Al-Atoum. Mayor of Greater Jerash and Mazen Kawar, Executive Director of the Festival.
The closing ceremony of the southern theater performed by the Saudi singer Rabeh Saqr in his first participation in the festival, while a band presented Jadal, led by guitarist Mahmoud Radaideh, performs on the North Stage.

The festival program included theatrical performances at the Royal Cultural Center and the screening of short films in the city of Irbid, in addition to A collective exhibition of plastic art, a poetry evening dedicated to the soul of the poet Grace Samawi, and a critical conference entitled “The Impact of Technology” In the reception between the poem and the painting.
On the sidelines of the festival, the nineteenth session of the “Bashayer Jerash” program, dedicated to young talents, was held 15 and 30 years old in the fields of story, poetry, acting and singing.
