Hand juniors return to training in preparation for Asian Bahrain

Our national junior handball team will resume its training at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, at the Salah Al-Din Sports Hall in Al Mamzar area in Dubai, as part of its preparations to participate in the tenth Asian Junior Championships qualifying for the World Junior Championships “Croatia 2023”, which is scheduled to be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 16-16 August 27, 2022.

These preparations come after the completion of the examination period at the end of the school year for many players in the national team, led by national coach Qassem Ashour, his assistant Ibrahim Al-Amiri, and the administrator, Mohammed Rashid.

This orientation came after the meeting held by the National Teams Committee, headed by Abdullah Saeed Al Kaabi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Federation, with the technical and administrative staff of the team, during which the program of the emerging team was discussed during the current and upcoming period in preparation for the Asian forum.

Our team, with its first list of 20 players, started preparing for this Asian championship since last March with local training, and then a camp was set up in Dibba Al-Hisn Club during the period from 25 to 31 March 2022. The drawing ceremony for the championship, which witnessed the participation of 11 teams, was divided For two groups, our team was placed in the second group along with the teams of Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Iraq and Kuwait, while the first group included Bahrain (hosts), Iran, India, South Korea and Uzbekistan.
