Handing over the flag of Mauritania to the leader of the Almoravids to start preparing for the 2021 African Nations in Cameroon..photos

Today, Saturday, the ceremony of handing over the Mauritanian flag to the player Yahya Mohamed Delahi, the leader of the Almoravids, was held to start the team’s preparations to participate in the 2021 African Nations Championship in Cameroon.

French coach Didier Gomez announced the final list for the 2022 African Nations Cup in Cameroon.

Mauritania qualified for the African Nations Cup for the second time in a row, and will participate in the next Cameroon edition in Group F, along with Tunisia, Mali and Gambia.

The opening match of the Mauritanian team in the 2022 African Nations Cup will be against Gambia, on January 12th, then it will play against Tunisia in the second round, and conclude the group stage with a match against Mali.

The official list of players invited to represent the Mauritanian national team in the finals of the African Cup of Nations – Cameroon 2021, included 30 players to participate in the preparatory camp in the Emirates, to be reduced later to 28 players, before heading to Cameroon.

The Mauritanian squad list is as follows:

Amadou Niass, the Arab Contractors player, was included in the final list of the Mauritanian national team.

Goalkeepers: Babacar Diop (FC Nouadhibou), Nammouri Diao (FC Tefrag Zena), Mbaki Ndiaye (Nouakchott Kings).

Defenders: Bakary Ndiaye (Rhodes / Greece), Al-Hassan Huwaibeb (Al-Zawra / Iraq), Abdoul Ba (Al-Ahly / Libya), Omar Manghan (Nouadhibou SC), Mustafa Diaw. (Manama Club / Bahrain), Haruna Abu Dimba, Mohamadhen Bibo (Nouadhibou), Dimba Trawer (FC Tiffrag-Zena)

Midfield: Mohamed Delah Yali, Mohsen Bouda (Nouadhibou Club), Jessoma Fofana (CFR Cluj / Romania), El Hassan Diop (Isa Town / Bahrain), Mohamed Soueid (Nouadhibou Club).
