As the couple climbed the stairs, the crowd clapped and cheered. It was a warm and spontaneous reaction to the couple’s first appearance together for a royal event since 2020.
The last event of their appearance among the royal family was at the Commonwealth Service Celebration, at Westminster Abbey, which took place in March 2020.
Then the mood of the royal family was bleak. The rifts within the royal family were evident in front of the cameras and everyone could notice, with Prince William and Prince Harry barely exchanging a glance despite sitting close to each other.
