Historic Landmark: The World's First Registered Rimac Nevera Super Sports Car!

Historic Landmark: The World’s First Registered Rimac Nevera Super Sports Car!

The world’s fastest production car (quarter-mile race) finally reached its first recorded piece in a few years.

If we have to mention one not-so-established automaker that there’s been a lot of hearing about (correctly) lately, it’s Rimac. The Croatian super sports manufacturer Rimac Automobili was founded in 2009 and has come a long and interesting way since then. The founder Mate Rimac was so able to penetrate his business plan that in 2021 a group of brands Bugatti and Rimac merged and formed. Mate Rimac also became CEO of the newly formed Bugatti-Rimac doo group.

Rimac introduced the C_Two concept in 2018. Three years later, a production version of the Rimac Nevera was introduced. The Croatian super sports car with four electric motors has an impressive output of 1,408 kW (1,915 hp) and torque of 2,360 Nm. Nevera completes incredible numbers, for example, by driving the quarter mile in 8.95 seconds. This is 45 times better than the Bugatti Chiron!

Four years after the concept was introduced, a major milestone is approaching. The first 150 Rimac Nevera supersports have been officially registered. The numbers on the Croatian license plate “ZG 2360 NM” symbolize the torque value of the Neverra. Historically, the first Rimac Nevera on the road is owned by the same company, so it will remain in its native Croatia. The car was matched for sales around the world, so despite the low number of planned samples, the Croatian Supersport could appear all over the world.

Due to the wide range of customizations, each of the 150 Rimack Nevers should have a different layout. However, the common denominator among all Nevers is, in addition to the mentioned power, a battery with a capacity of 120 kWh (range 550 km), Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes, updated infotainment via the Internet or the so-called Drive Coach, which uses three Ten cameras, six radars and twelve ultrasonic sensors can advise the driver on the best course on the racetrack.
