How to take a panoramic photo using the Google Photos app
Panorama mode on the Pixel 4a, as well as other Pixel phones, supports both vertical and horizontal panoramas.
On the Google Pixel 4a, open the Camera app.
Tap on Mode on the right side of the bottom menu.
Select Panorama from the popup menu.
For a horizontal panorama, hold the phone in portrait mode. For portrait mode, hold it in landscape mode.
Press the capture button to start taking photos.
As you move the camera, the app directs you with a box that displays the phone’s left-to-right tilt and skew relative to when you touch the capture button. Do your best to keep the phone level and within the path shown on the screen. The app automatically captures images and displays a preview bar of images as you pan.
