The Argentine star, Lionel Messi, expressed his enjoyment of the development of his partnership with Kylian Mbappe in the French attacking line of Paris Saint-Germain.
Messi left Barcelona last August and moved on a free transfer to Saint-Germain, where he plays alongside Brazilian stars Neymar and French Mbappe.
Messi scored only two goals in 15 matches in the French league, which Saint-Germain leads, 13 points ahead of its closest rivals.
“Angel Di Maria and Neymar I knew before,” Messi said in an interview with the official magazine of Saint-Germain on Tuesday.
He added, “Kylian was the player I did not know and little by little we got to know each other more and also on the field in an attempt to bond more and see how comfortable we are with each other.”
“I was fortunate to be among the best players in Barcelona, and today at Paris Saint-Germain also I feel happy and I look forward to continuing that,” the Argentine captain said.
Mbappe is Saint-Germain’s top scorer with 17 goals in all competitions.
