India launches a satellite developed with Bhutan into space
The Indian Ministry of External Affairs announced that the “India-Bhutan SAT” satellite, jointly developed with Bhutan in India, has been launched into space.
According to the statement issued by the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Indian Space Research Center (ISRO) launched the satellites on the rocket named ‘Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle’. ” ( PSLV-C54) from the Satish Dhawan Space Center on Sriharikota Island. in southern Andhra Pradesh.
He announced that the missile carries other satellites as well as “India-Bhutan Sat”, which was developed in partnership with Bhutan and the Indian Earth Observation Satellite.
In the statement, Bhutanese Information and Communications Minister Karma Donen Wangde and a delegation of senior Bhutanese officials were in Sriharikota for the satellite launch.
Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said in a statement following the launch of the two satellites that India had marked a “historic turning point” in its bilateral cooperation with Bhutan.
Minister Jaishankar stated that Bhutanese engineers have been trained in the country in terms of making satellites and analyzing the data that will be obtained from the satellite, and as a result, the upgraded satellite has been launched today.
