On Tuesday evening, the draw for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations was held in the Cameroonian capital, Yaounde, which determined the groups for the tournament, which is scheduled to take place from January 9 to February 6, 2022.
The results of the draw for the 2021 African Nations Championship are as follows:
Group A: Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Cape Verde.
Group B: Senegal, Guinea, Zimbabwe, Malawi.
Group C: Morocco, Ghana, Gabon, Comoros.
Group D: Nigeria, Egypt, Guinea-Bissau, Sudan.
Group E: Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Equatorial Guinea.
Group F: Tunisia, Mali, Mauritania, Gambia.
The first and second place teams in the six groups, in addition to the best 4 thirds from the groups, qualify for the Round of 16 of the African Nations.
It is worth noting that the Algerian team is the holder of the title of the last edition of the tournament, after its victory over Senegal in the final match with a clean goal.
