Instructions for using the flag of the Crown Prince: It is not used for decorative purposes and does not touch the ground East and West

Ammon – A Royal Decree was issued, instructing the use of the flag of His Highness the Crown Prince, pursuant to Articles 4 and 5 of the Jordanian Flags Law No. 7 of 2004.

And the instructions issued in the Official Gazette stipulate that he raises the flag of the Crown Prince in front of or above his private residence constantly, day and night, and in front of or above his office in the Royal Hashemite Court, and he descends from the Royal Hashemite Court when His Highness leaves the site and raises the Jordanian flag.

The instructions also prohibit the side of the Crown Prince’s flag from touching the ground, water, or foothold, and it is not permissible to use the Crown Prince’s flag for adornment purposes, and it is not permissible to raise more than one of the Crown Prince’s flags in one place.

The first article of the instructions states, naming it, “Instructions for using the flag of the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, for the year (2023)”

While the second article provides for the definition of the phrase (the flag of the Crown Prince, wherever it appears in these instructions (the flag of the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II), while the second article stipulates that the flag of the Crown Prince is the personal flag of His Highness, and it is not raised on a place Unless His Highness is present in it or residing there.

Article 4 stipulates that he raises the flag of the Crown Prince over his residence, the Royal Hashemite Court and his means of transportation, and in his royal camp or camp.

As for Article 5, and in implementation of the provisions of Article (4) of these instructions, the times, procedures, and arrangements shown below are taken into account when raising the flag of the Crown Prince, which are:

A- The flag of the Crown Prince is raised in front of or above the residence of His Highness continuously, day and night.

B- The flag of the Crown Prince is raised in front of or above the office of His Highness the Crown Prince at the Royal Hashemite Court.

C- The flag of the Crown Prince is lowered from the Royal Hashemite Court when the Crown Prince leaves the site and the Jordanian flag is raised.

D – It is forbidden for the tip of the Crown Prince’s flag to touch the ground, water, or footstool.

e- The flag of the Crown Prince may not be used for adornment purposes.

F – It is not permissible to raise more than one of the Crown Prince’s flags in one place.

G – The flag of the Crown Prince may not be raised over hotels while traveling abroad.

H- There are no special ceremonies for hoisting the flag of the Crown Prince.

It is not permissible to place the flag of the Crown Prince on the military uniform of officers, non-commissioned officers and members of His Highness’s security group.

J – The flag of the Crown Prince is not raised with the flags of foreign countries. In no case may the flag of the Crown Prince be flown at half-mast.

Article 6 of the instructions states that when raising the flag of the Crown Prince, the following shall be taken into account:

A- It should be on the left side of the Crown Prince’s office or the reception hall, so that the Jordanian flag is to the right of His Highness when he is sitting in his office or in the reception hall.

B- That it does not violate the shape, standards, specifications and colors specified for it.

c. It shall be raised from the ground by a distance of no less than (15) cm.

Whereas, Article 7 of the instructions stipulates that the instructions for using the flag of the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II for the year 2015 shall be cancelled, provided that the decisions issued pursuant thereto shall continue to be implemented until they are cancelled, amended or replaced by others in accordance with the provisions of these instructions.
