RedBird Capital Partners recently announced that it will definitively take over Italian champion AC Milan. According to the latest information, the American company with AC Milan has big plans – but the main goal is to make AC a global giant once again.
RedBird Capital Partners and Elliott Advisors UK Limited have finally sealed a deal to acquire AC Milan.
The move to the new property will take place in the summer months, but no later than September of this year.
The new owners paid 1.2 billion euros to the club, which is about 32 billion CZK. In any event, Elliott will retain a minority financial stake and board positions on the team, with the goal of strengthening the partnership between him and RedBird.
Thus, AC Milan will be able to continue the new project, the goal of which is clear – the Rossoneri is destined to become the giant of the world again in the coming years.
In addition, RedBird has extensive experience in football and their experience in managing and operating the club is reaching high levels. Plus, the investment firm wants to make AC a really powerful marketing brand, like the New York Yankees baseball team.
It should be noted that RedBird also owns French team Toulouse and has a stake in Fenway which owns Liverpool and Boston Red Sox baseball.
