“Joker Bayern” ignites a conflict between City, Barcelona and Madrid

The English club Manchester City entered the line of negotiations, to include a player who is desperately wanted by the Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.

And Spanish and German press reports revealed during the past hours that there is an interest on the part of Real Madrid and Barcelona to contract with Joshua Kimmich, the Bayern Munich midfielder, during the upcoming summer transfer period.

Kimmich is called the Joker player, due to his ability to play in more than one position, whether as a central midfield player or a full-back, in addition to his shooting and driving skills.

And the British newspaper “Mirror” stated in a report that the Spanish Pep Guardiola, coach of Man City, who previously led Kimmich in Bayern during the 2015-2016 season, wants to take advantage of the presence of his player, Joao Cancelo, in the Allianz Arena on loan, in order to pressure Bayern in the Kimmich deal. .

Cancelo is linked to a loan contract from City to Bayern until the end of the current season 2022-2023, with a sale clause for 60 million pounds.

Pep does not intend to return the Portuguese defender to his team in the coming period, due to the problems he caused after the end of the 2022 World Cup and his talk about the lack of participation, which angered the Spanish coach.

Guardiola is a big fan of Kimmich, as Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez previously said that Pep told him a long time ago about Joshua’s exceptional ability to play in more than one position.

“Mirror” added: “Guardiola believes that Kimmich is the ideal replacement for his compatriot Ilkay Gundogan, whose contract expires at the end of the current season, and Man City still hopes to keep him for a longer period.”

Gundogan insists on leaving Al-Ittihad Stadium at the end of the season, despite Al-Samawi’s insistence on renewing him, as he is expected to join Barcelona.

The German international’s desire to leave comes because of his rejection of the idea of extending for one season, which is presented by Man City, as he wants a longer contract that gives him stability, which is what is available in the “Camp” Nou despite the low financial consideration.

Pep Guardiola believes that City’s rivals, such as Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool, will spend a lot of money to bridge the gap with him in the coming seasons, and then he also wants to strengthen his ranks with first-level players.

Manchester City was crowned Premier League champion on Saturday without playing, after second-placed Arsenal fell into a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.
