Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp hopes that Egyptian star Mohamed Salah will be able to play again this season, after he was injured in the “Reds” match against Chelsea, in the FA Cup final.

Salah did not complete the meeting with Chelsea, which was held on Saturday, as he suffered a thigh injury and had to leave in the 33rd minute, and Portuguese Diogo Jota came in instead.

Despite Salah’s exit, Liverpool managed to win the FA Cup for the eighth time in its history, after beating Chelsea on penalties 6-5.

After the match, Klopp commented on Salah’s injury, saying: “I hope he is fine.”

He added, “Salah felt something, in a simple way, I hope he is fine, we will see.”

The match also witnessed the departure of the captain of the Liverpool club, the Dutch, Virgil van Dijk, with an injury, before the start of the first extra period, as he seemed uncomfortable as he walked.

“He has a few problems,” Klopp said, according to Russia Today, about the Dutch international defender’s injury, adding that he believed Van Dijk was “fine” and would play again this season.

Liverpool is looking to achieve a historic quartet this season, as it has already won the League Cup and the FA Cup, and will play the Champions League final against Real Madrid at the end of this month, and it has two matches in the English Premier League, but it needs a miracle to achieve the title of “Premier League”.

Liverpool FC is currently ranked second in the English Premier League table, three points behind leaders Manchester City, and the latter has an advantage of goal difference +72 compared to +62 for Liverpool FC.
