Electric buses operate on line 610.
Line 610 will be the first in Kladno’s public transport network, where only electric buses will operate from September. ČSAD MHD Kladno from Arriva Group will deploy two SOR EBN 11.1 electric buses on it.
The city announced in a press release the start of electric operation. “Electric buses will cover line 610, which departs from Tržnice station in Kročehlavy and will reach the final Zádušní station via Sítná, Central and Starosty Pavla Square.” Kladno Mayor Milan Wolff said.
The new buses are low-floor, air-conditioned and equipped with Wi-Fi. The electric bus has a capacity of 86 people, of which 28 are seated and 58 are standing. The electric bus is 11 meters long and 2.5 meters wide. The electric motor is capable of reaching a maximum power of 142 kW. “On one full charge, the car will travel approximately 180 kilometers at a speed of 80 km / h, while the recovery increases the range by another 20%. We have built two charging points in the garage area. We will charge the electric buses at night, and they will be in full condition within six hours.” said Ludomir Landa, COO of ČSAD MHD Kladno.
If the new electric buses prove successful, the city of Kladno, along with the carrier, plans to purchase sixteen more electric buses in 2023 for use on the 603 and 606 backbone lines.
In Kladno, only alternative-wheel drive buses are operated, while other buses run on compressed natural gas (CNG).
From September 1, regional lines in the Kladno region of the Kladno region will also be modified. They are in more detail Changes made here.
