The annual Korean Film Festival, in its sixth edition, under the title “Family on Screen”, will be launched in Abu Dhabi from June 29 to July 3, 2022, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korean Cultural Center in the UAE, in cooperation with Fox Cinema Yas. .
The festival will screen a variety of distinguished Korean films that will provide a unique experience in family drama and a window into Korean society and its customs. Within five days, the audience will have the opportunity to watch nine Korean films, including “Escape from Mogadishu”, which won international awards and was chosen as the best Asian film for 2021, featuring a group of the most famous Korean actors such as Kim Yun-seok, Hoo Junho and Kim Sojin.
The carefully selected list of films highlights various aspects of the life of the Korean family and society in a variety of forms, including action, comedy and drama. And the movie-loving audience will enjoy the movie “The Miracle: Letters to the President,” and “Our Home,” which will remind them of family and family, as the pandemic reminded them.
As for the films “House of the Hummingbird” and “Kim Jieong”, we will learn lessons from them about compassion, listening to the weak members of our family, and expressing our feelings to solve the obstacles we face.
