Shortly before, a third naval evacuation convoy arrived at the King Faisal base in Jeddah, coming from Port Sudan under the protection of the Saudi navy.
According to “Al-Ikhbariya” channel, 1,673 people from 40 different countries were on board the evacuation ship “Amana”.
Among those evacuated were 46 Americans, 40 Britons, 11 Germans, 4 French and 13 Saudis, Al-Arabiya TV reported.
Among the passengers on the evacuation ship were 560 Indonesians, 239 Yemenis, 198 Sudanese and 26 Turks.
With this number, the King Faisal Naval Base in Jeddah received the largest evacuation ever from Sudan.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “Today, 13 Saudi nationals arrived in Jeddah in continuation of efforts to evacuate its citizens and citizens of fraternal and allied countries from Sudan to the Kingdom under the guidance of the wise leadership. , and the number of evacuated citizens of fraternal and allied countries reached 1,674.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has clarified their nationalities from Oman, Syria, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine, Mauritania, Yemen, USA, Canada, Germany, United Kingdom. , Switzerland, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Armenia, Hungary, Sweden, Turkey, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Djibouti, Cape Verde, Congo, Madagascar, Ivory Coast and others.
This brings the total number of people expelled from Sudan to around 2,148 (114 Saudis, 2,034 from 62 countries).
