LONDON – Liverpool gave its guest Southampton a lesson in football and beat them 4-0 today, Saturday, in the thirteenth round of the English Premier League.
This round also saw Arsenal beat Newcastle 2 / zero and Aston Villa beat Crystal Palace 2 / 1, and Wolverhampton drew with Norwich City 0-0.
Liverpool advanced with a goal scored by Diogo Jota in the second minute after a cross from Andrew Robertson from the left side.
In the 32nd minute, Jota added the second goal for him and Liverpool after a cross from Mohamed Salah from the right side.
Liverpool scored the third goal in the 37th minute when Thiago Alcantara hit a powerful ball that hit the foot of Janko Vojnovic and then hugged the net.
The fourth goal came in the 52nd minute when a corner kick was played inside the Southampton penalty area, which Virgil van Dijk met with a powerful ground kick into the goal.
