Liverpool continued its poor results in its test matches in its current camp in Austria, in preparation for the new season of the English Premier League, after losing 3/4 to Hertha Berlin in a friendly meeting that took place between them yesterday, Thursday.
Argentine Santiago Ascalibar opened the scoring for Herta in the 21st minute, before his colleague Swat Serdar added the second goal in the 31st minute.
Liverpool quickly returned to the atmosphere of the meeting again, to equalize before the end of the first half, after its Senegalese stars Sadio Mane and Japanese Takumi Minamino scored two goals in the 36th and 42nd minutes, respectively, to end the first half with a 2/2 tie.
Hertha returned to the lead again, after the Montenegrin Stefan Jovetic scored the third and fourth goals for the German team in the 66th and 80th minutes, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored the third goal for Liverpool in the 88th minute.
Liverpool drew 1-1 with Vacker Innsbruck, Austria, and Stuttgart, Germany, before narrowly beating Mainz, Germany, 1-0, in their pre-season matches.
Liverpool aspires to regain the Premier League title, which it missed last season in favor of Manchester City, as it opens the new season against its host Norwich City on August 14.
On the other hand, Hertha is preparing for the new season in the German League (Bundesliga), as it begins its matches in the championship, against its host Cologne on August 15th.
