Australian cyclist Michael Matthews won the 14th stage of the Tour de France on Saturday.
Matthews, 31, finished the 192.5 km race with a time of 4 hours 30 minutes 53 seconds, 15 seconds ahead of Italian Alberto Pettiol, who finished second. Frenchman Thibaut Pinault was third, 34 seconds behind the first place.
With this victory, Matthews achieved his fourth victory in the Tour de France, and his first in five years.
At the level of the general classification, the Danish Jonas Weingegaard led the general classification of the circumnavigation with a total time of 55 hours, 31 minutes and one second, two minutes and 22 seconds behind the Slovenian Tade Pogachar.
