Kylian Mbappe, the star of Paris Saint-Germain, sent a harsh message to Real Madrid fans after declaring his desire to stay with the French giant.
Press reports confirmed that Real Madrid does not want to wait next summer to sign Mbappe and is ready to pay an amount ranging from 120 to 150 million euros for the player after completing the transfer of Raphael Varane to Manchester United.
But Mbappe appeared in a joint dialogue with Neymar with “Paris” magazine, in which he confirmed his desire to win the European Championships in the Princes’ Garden.
What did Mbappe say in his interview with Neymar?
The Spanish newspaper “Marca” has reached a small part of the dialogue, in which Neymar and Mbappe ask each other questions.
Mbappe began, “I’m not as good as a journalist and I don’t know what question to ask Neymar, but let’s start with what is your biggest dream after all the titles you’ve won?”
Neymar replied: “My biggest dream is to win the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain and the World Cup with Brazil, and what about you, Mbappe? Is your dream also winning the Champions League?”
The Frenchman replied with a laugh: “Why don’t you say winning the World Cup again with France?”
The Brazilian continued: “No, the next World Cup belongs to me. I would like to ask you, Kilian, what is your biggest dream after winning the World Cup with France?”
Mbappe concluded: “My dream is to win the Champions League with France, but if I also managed to win the World Cup again, it would be great.”
What is new Real Madrid’s attempts to include Mbappe?
Real Madrid wants so strongly to complete the contract with Mbappe that Florentino Perez, the president of the Royal, hinted at this after winning the Spanish League in 2020 when he said that Kilian should wait to come to the royal club.
But the Paris Saint-Germain administration does not want to waste the player, but it may have to, as Mbappe’s contract expires in the summer of 2022 and the 22-year-old has not yet agreed to renew.
The royal club may have to wait for an additional season to sign Mbappe for free from Paris Saint-Germain, unless Nasser Al-Khelaifi succeeds in persuading the player to stay, especially after extending Neymar da Silva’s contract and bringing in big deals such as Sergio Ramos, Ashraf Hakimi and Giorgino Wijnaldum.
