Egyptian football star Ahmed Hossam Mido admitted his failure to maintain his level as a footballer after reaching the top, despite having the technical qualifications necessary to achieve this.
Mido said during his hosting of the “Kalam Al-Nass” program presented by the media, Yasmine Ezz, on MBC Egypt: “Mohamed Salah certainly succeeded in something that I failed in, and I played and reached a certain level, but I was not able to maintain it for many years.”
He added: Mohamed Salah was able to reach the highest level in football and stay at his level, and this is the most difficult thing for a football player.
In response to a question, when you follow Mohamed Salah, do you feel heartbreak or pride? He said: I did not feel heartbreak because of another player throughout my career, and I am the first player to travel professionally abroad when I was 16 years old, and Mohamed Salah is better, of course, but there is no comparison between my trip and him.
He continued: My life’s journey is completely different and is not limited to football, and I learned a lot from it and formed my personality and the things that I pass on to my children, including my exposure to difficult financial conditions after my retirement, and I played for free for 4 or 5 years, whether in West Ham or Zamalek.
It is noteworthy that Mido is participating in the current Ramadan season by appearing in two series, “Souts in Arabic” and “Work in the High”, after his participation in “The Game 2” last year.
Do not miss: Ali Raouf for “Fi Al Fan”: By playing music and dubbing, I was influenced by Heneidy and Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra, and my mother discovered my talent.
