The United Arab Emirates has tested a new method called drone or “rain shower” by launching drones that release electricity charges in low clouds of air, which is a new attempt to break the air temperature to 50 degrees.
The United Arab Emirates is one of the most drought-prone countries in the world, and hopes the technology will help increase annual rainfall.
The British newspaper “Daily Mail” revealed videos of monsoon rains on the highways, a pattern of rain that the United Arab Emirates has recently begun to experience.
The new experiment, conducted by Emirates, is part of an effort by the National Weather Center worth $ 15 million to provide grants for related ideas and recommendations.
According to the United Arab Emirates National Meteorological Center, rainfall has been increased by a technique called rain seeding, the purpose of which is to increase compression in the hope that it will lead to heavy rains.
The new project to create rainwater using drone technology is part of research led by experts at the University of Reading in the UK.
The University of Reading team of scientists initially proposed the idea in 2017. The team began by modeling the behavior of clouds. They found that when cloud droplets have a positive or negative electrical charge, the smaller droplets are more likely to melt and grow into larger raindrops.
The National Meteorological Center in the United Arab Emirates has intensified its efforts to improve the rain sowing process over the years, and began the rain sowing process in 2000 in the United Arab Emirates with a US partnership.
