More than 2,000 participants in the Arab Cup and the Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship

The Zayed Sports Complex will host, between February 2 and 8, the third edition of the Arab Cup and the tenth edition of the Fujairah International Taekwondo Championship. The two tournaments will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah. The tournament is witnessing the participation of more than 2,000 participants in the two tournaments, with 722 athletes in the Arab Cup and 1,364 in Fujairah International.

The announcement of the details of the two championships came through a press conference held by the Organizing Committee yesterday, in the presence of the Chairman of the Organizing Committee and President of the Taekwondo Federation, Brigadier General Dr. Athletes from 55 countries of the world participate in the two championships. The Fujairah International Championship will start on the fifth of next February, while the Arab Cup competitions will be held on the 2nd and 3rd of next February.

The Arab Cup attracts many Olympic stars and champions, including Saleh Al-Sharbaty, the silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, and the Egyptian Saif Issa, the bronze medalist of the same tournament. With regard to Emirati participation, 314 male and female players from the UAE will participate in the event, along with 44 female players from Fujairah Club.
