More than 800 space objects detected outside Neptune

Researchers reveal the results of a six-year survey to map for the outer solar system, called the Dark Energy Survey (DES), which uses a telescope at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory, high in the Chilean Andes, has discovered more than 800 secondary objects outside Neptune In a discovery that could help identify the supposed planet of our solar system with the name ninth planet.

According to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, their search resulted in 815 Trans-Neptune objects (TNOs), with 461 objects being reported for the first time in a new research paper.

The objects are called TNO because they are farthest from any minor planet or dwarf planet in the Solar System with an orbit beyond Neptune.

Further study of their motions and orbit could reveal the gravitational influence of the ninth official planet after Neptune, and just last month another team of experts mapped out the likely location of Planet Nine, roughly 46.5 billion miles from the sun. This new research was led by Dr. Pedro Bernardinelli in the Department of Physics. and astronomy at the University of Pennsylvania.

Perhaps the primary goal of DES is to measure the accelerating rate of cosmic expansion, based on data from hundreds of millions of galaxies, but this paper talks about cosmic phenomena much closer to the solar system based on six years of data captured between 2013 and 2019.

The Planet Nine theory was first put forward by experts from the California Institute of Technology in 2014 when they discovered that TNOs behave unusually.

Astronomers still claim that this can be explained by the gravitational pull of a ninth planet in our solar system that orbits 20 times farther from our sun than Neptune.
