Moscow – (AA):

The Speaker of the Russian Lower House (Duma), Vyacheslav Volodin, said that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky left Ukraine and moved to Poland.

“President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky has left the country, and he is now in Poland,” Volodin added on his channel in “Telegram” today, Friday, according to the Russian “Sputnik” news agency.

“Zelensky left Ukraine, as deputies in the Verkhovna Rada said that they could not reach him in Lvov, in the west of the country,” he added, noting that he is now in Poland.

On February 26, the Speaker of the Russian State Duma announced, quoting deputies in the Verkhovna Rada, that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has left Kyiv and is currently in the city of Lvov, western Ukraine.

In a related context, the press secretary of the Russian presidency, Dmitry Peskov, said today that the delegations of Russia and Ukraine involved in the talks have the possibility of informing each other of their positions very clearly and without mediators.

In response to a question about the possibility of contact between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, Peskov said that “now is the time for these talks” – according to the Russian TASS news agency.

“The two delegations have the possibility to communicate their positions clearly and without intermediaries to each other, and our position has been disclosed to the Ukrainian side,” Peskov added.

The second round of talks between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine was held on Thursday in Belarus, and Russian presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who leads the Russian delegation, described the agreements reached during this round as serious progress, as Moscow and Kiev managed to reach an agreement on the corridors humanitarian relief for civilians, and the third round is expected to begin within days.
