Veteran Spanish star Rafael Nadal, ranked fifth in the world in tennis, to return again to tennis courtsBefore the end of this year, he missed many important tournaments due to the injury he suffers from.
Rafael Nadal delighted his fans, who are waiting for his return to the tennis courts, after he said in a statement carried by the Spanish newspaper, Mundo Deportivo, on Monday: “My plan now is to play in the Abu Dhabi Championship in December, and then participate in the Australian Open.”
He continued, “My goal now is to work hard, so that my plans go according to what I want, I don’t know exactly when I will be back on the court. I can say that my goal is to try to return to Abu Dhabi in December, and prepare for the Australian Open.”
After losing to Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals of “Roland Garros”, when he was already suffering from severe pain in his left foot, the 35-year-old Spaniard played only two matches, in August during the ATP tournament in Washington, but his physical problem did not allow him to continue.
Nadal had revealed that he underwent a special treatment in Barcelona last September, without going into details, but he confirmed at the time that he was continuing his recovery journey, until he returned to the tennis courts again.
