Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp praised the newly-signed player, Luis Diaz, describing him as “the closest thing to a miracle”.
The 25-year-old Colombian joined Liverpool last January from Porto, for a fee of 37 million pounds.
Diaz managed to score two goals in his first 12 games with Liverpool, in addition to his outstanding performance, which was appreciated by the officials and fans of the English team.
In this regard, Klopp said, in a statement to “Sky Sports”: “You do not expect miracles immediately from this type of player, but he is not far from that.”
“There is always a reason why you sign a certain player, and the reason is his performance and the way he plays football,” he added.
And the German coach continued: “It was special with Lewis .. When we saw him, we knew that he would adapt immediately, we have a confident player here .. Usually this is really difficult.”
Klopp explained that Luis Diaz was playing well with Porto and Colombia, “for this reason, he came to Liverpool with full confidence, although he is still adapting to life in England.”
