New iPhones Are Declining, Apple’s Profit Almost Doubled

Earnings per share for the three months to June 26 were $1.3, while analysts polled by Refinitiv expected earnings of just $1.01 per share. Total revenue rose 36.4 percent to $81.43 billion. Analysts expected revenue to rise to just $73.3 billion.

Apple reported high sales growth, especially in China. CEO Tim Cook told Reuters that customers are buying accessories like the Apple Watch, which they can pair with their iPhones. Sales in China rose 58 percent in the first quarter to $14.76 billion.

Last year, Apple launched its iPhone 12 for 5G networks later than usual. Because of this delay, some iPhone purchases moved from the first quarter to the second fiscal quarter. So the company warned investors to expect weaker-than-usual sales of iPhones in the third fiscal quarter, as consumers are likely to postpone purchases in anticipation of a new generation of devices coming in the fall. However, consumer interest in switching to 5G devices appears to have boosted sales. iPhone sales rose nearly 50 percent year-over-year to $39.57 billion in the first quarter, topping analysts’ estimates.

What can the news do?

The design of all innovations is significantly different from all its predecessors. Apple mainly goes back to the era of the popular iPhone 5, where the sharp edges of the metal frame played a role instead of the rounded sides.

This design change is sure to be welcomed by many rock fans, simply because the construction is lighter and essentially smaller.

The increase in performance is practically taken for granted in the next generation of iPhones. However, representatives of the American computer giant boasted that the pace of work is so fast that, for example, League of Legends will be played on Apple phones, a popular video game designed primarily for classic computers. By doing so, Apple has demonstrated how significantly increased performance can be. This is due to the Apple A14 Bionic chip, which houses all four innovations.

Attention to services was also great

Revenue from services including TV, music and app store subscriptions has also grown exponentially. Revenue rose by a third to $17.49 billion. Cook added that the number of subscribers on various platforms rose to 700 million from 660 million in the previous quarter.

Pandemics and working from home have also led to increased interest in iPads and Macs. Mac sales rose 16.4% to $8.24 billion, and iPad sales rose 11.8% to $7.37 billion, also beating analyst expectations. Cook added that sales of these devices were limited by the global shortage of chips, but the impact was not as much as the company feared. Last quarter, Apple warned investors that a global shortage of chips could cut its revenue by $3 billion to $4 billion, mainly due to a shortage of iPad and Mac chips.
