League Plus – Brazilian international Vinicius Junior, the star of Real Madrid, confirmed that Al-Mrenji did not qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League, despite the broad victory achieved at the expense of Liverpool, yesterday, Tuesday.

Vinicius succeeded in leading Real Madrid to a historic Rimontada against Liverpool after the latter advanced in the first 14 minutes with two clean goals, but the Brazilian managed to score two goals before the end of the first half, before adding Eder Militao and Karim Benzema (two goals) to end the match with five goals to two.

Brazilian Vinicius Junior said in a press statement after the match: “I am happy with the great victory, but Real Madrid has not decided to qualify yet. All possibilities are still open.”

He added: “Liverpool is a great competitor, and you never know what will happen in the Champions League until after the two matches are over. We achieved that result because of the team’s collective style on the defensive level before the offensive.”

And he continued: “My ambitions and goals are great, the most important of which is helping my colleagues win every game, and I listen to them from my first day at Real Madrid, and I want more development in the coming years.”

And about his brilliance in the Liverpool match, he commented: “I am not alone in Real Madrid. We achieved that result because of the collective method of the team on the defensive level before the attack, and this is what I did with Karim Benzema and Rodrigo.”
