Kuwaiti National Assembly member Hamdan Al-Azmi demanded that actress Nour Al-Ghandour be banned from entering Kuwait because of her scenes, which he described as disgraceful in the series “From Al Haram Street to.”
Kuwaiti media, Mai Al-Aidan, quoted Al-Azmi’s statements that he tried to contact actress Nour Al-Ghandour to ask her to stop what he described as heinous acts.
The Kuwaiti MP had written through his account on Twitter: “We were surprised that the descending series (from Al Haram Street) that calls for vice and decadence is a Kuwaiti production, unfortunately. We stress that these descending acts cannot be attributed to Kuwait even if they are shown on external platforms and channels. .. And the Minister of Information must act immediately to stop the licensing of the company producing this series.”
A member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly said that he called Noor Al-Ghandour to discourage her from what she was doing during the events of the series “From Al Haram Street to”, but she did not answer his call.
The Kuwaiti media commented on the request of the Kuwaiti National Assembly’s deputy in a tweet via her account on “Twitter” that she was surprised that he had contacted the actress, and continued: “The girl in the UAE until now is a rule. It was not filmed in Kuwait.
You are a complaint that I called for the first time I saw a Kuwaiti national council member calling an Egyptian representative. . First, rest, first, the girl in the Emirates, until now, as a rule, I imagine the series. Secondly, Noor. Aisha has not returned to Kuwait. She settled with her family in her country, Egypt. Second, you complain about the series, which is not a Kuwaiti production, and it was not filmed in Kuwait. pic.twitter.com/ZZYGQOUTzJ

Kuwaiti activists denounced the parliamentary representative’s statements about the series “From Al-Haram Street to”, pointing out that the work is devoid of bold scenes and does not exceed the public morals law, and expressed their surprise at the Kuwaiti MP Hamdan Al-Azmi’s attack on the artist, Nour Al-Ghandour, and his demand to prevent her from entering the country.
