from 1 June O2 TV won’t fast forward when watching archived PRIMA TV programmes. According to the operator, this was currently the only technical way to comply with TV requirements to block advertising. On competing stations, motion in the recording will operate normally.
“With regard to the stringent requirements of FTV Prima, we had no choice but to completely remove the forward scroll functionality on its channels,” said O2 TV’s Director of Content. Anna Linerova.
Prima drops into the EPG
From June onwards, the order of TV channels in all tariffs will also change in O2 TV. Nova Group stations will move to higher positions in the EPG, while Prima Group stations will drop into the EPG.
“Nova has been striving for more visible and accessible places in the channel list for a long time. We also contacted the customers themselves, who wanted to make Nova stations available right away – without having to go through the EPG. This is why we changed the channel order 1 year ago June so that it reflects not only the ever-increasing quality of Nova’s content, but also the preservation of all the features that IPTV customers pay for – that is, the possibility of any rewind, “adds Anna Linerova.
Nova Cinema, Nova Fun, Nova Gold, Nova Action and Nova Lady will move to higher positions from the Prima channels. Above the list will also be sports stations, a Box movie program or, for example, BBC World News.
Customers will still be able to arrange stations according to their own taste, if the default demand from the operator does not suit them.
