Al Ain Football Club of the United Arab Emirates contracted on Tuesday with Moroccan winger Sofiane Rahimi from his compatriot Raja Casablanca until 2025.
Al-Ain completed the contract of his four foreigners, after he previously included the Tunisian Yassin Meriah, and he borrowed the Argentine Sebastian Guanca from the Saudi youth, and kept the Togolese Kodjo Laba.
Abdullah Ali Adari Al Ain said in statements carried by the club’s official website that Rahimi, 25, who was crowned Saturday with Raja in the Arab Club Championship at the expense of the Saudi Federation, “will represent an addition to the leader’s squad (the title of Al Ain), especially since he won the title of star of the season in Morocco during Two seasons, in addition to winning the title of top scorer in the African Nations Championship and the best player in the tournament.
For his part, Rahimi said, “My great desire to wear the Al Ain shirt settled matters early and stopped negotiations with some clubs that made offers to buy my card from Raja.”
Rahimi will be the second player Raja loses this season in favor of the UAE League, after the Congolese Ben Malango, who moved to Sharjah.
