The National Olympic Committee discussed with the UAE Embassy in Japan the preparations for the participation of the sports delegation in the 32nd Summer Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo from (July 23 to August 8). This came during the meeting, which was held via video conferencing yesterday morning, in the presence of Shehab Ahmed Al Fahim, UAE Ambassador to Japan, Engineer Azza bint Suleiman, Assistant Secretary-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs of the Olympic Committee, and Ahmed Al Tayeb, Director of the Technical and Sports Affairs Department of the Committee. The meeting reviewed the preparations of the Tokyo Olympic Organizing Committee and the most prominent developments and procedures for the UAE delegation, in order to ensure the delegation’s stay and transfers to and from the competition venues and to confirm full compliance with the instructions of the various committees responsible for organizing the event. Al Fahim stressed the country’s full readiness to provide all the requirements of the participating delegation and to harness all means for them to focus on the lofty mission, when they carry the flag of the nation in the largest sports forum in which 11,000 athletes from different countries of the world participate.
