Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko announced on Friday that the agreement with the United States on transit flights to the International Space Station provides for three flights of Russian cosmonauts on American vehicles.

Kononenko also indicated that the first Russian cosmonaut to join this crew is Anna Kikina, who will be launched aboard the “Crew Dragon” at the end of September 2022.

According to what “Ross Cosmos” published on its Telegram channel, the US space agency “NASA” announced Thursday that the American spacecraft Crew Dragon of the Crew5 mission, whose crew includes Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina, is scheduled to launch no later than September 29, 2022. .

And the Russian Space Agency announced, earlier, that the “Roskosmos” and “NASA” agencies had signed an agreement on transit flights of astronauts on board American and Russian ships to the International Space Station.

The text of the statement read: The state agency “Roskosmos” and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration “NASA” signed an agreement on integrated crew flights on Russian and American manned transport vehicles.

It should be noted that the agreement is in the interests of Russia and the United States and should contribute to the development of cooperation within the framework of the International Space Station program and the effective implementation of outer space projects and exploration for peaceful purposes.
