Prima has found common ground with O2 TV. Its programs will not disappear, but there will be an advertisement in the archive – AVmania.cz

Ultimately, over half a million O2 TV users will not miss their FTV Prima programming. Neither in March nor in June. The two companies closed together new dealaccording to which O2 can broadcast eight Prima channels directly on its Internet TV and in archives through the watch function.

But as Prima’s terms say, retrospectives should not override the ad, as they’ve done so far. O2 will have to pay a much higher fee for this, and there are two alternatives – either the classic ad will remain in the broadcast, which will be skipped after a certain time, or new ads downloaded from the Internet will be inserted into it. We don’t yet know which model the O2 will use. From the current statement, it looks like there will indeed be an announcement in the archive.

Thanks to a bilateral agreement, our customers will continue to watch all Prima Group channels within O2 TV. But this isn’t the end of it for us, it’s just the beginning. In the coming months, we will be faced with a difficult task – by the 1st of June we will be preparing a new and really practical solution for tracking ad units in view, says Richard Sepenstich, Commercial Director of O2.

Satisfied spectators have always been and will always be our target. That is why we are pleased to be able to agree on new terms of cooperation with O2 Czech Republic, retroactive from January 1, 2022. In this way, viewers can continue to watch their favorite Prima programs on O2 TV – not only live broadcasts, but also back from the record , “ says Vladimir Buzyk, Commercial Director of Prima Group.
