The retired Syrian artist, Rabab Kanaan, announced her readiness to return to acting, noting through her account on Facebook the efforts made by many of her artist friends and the public to make that decision.
Rabab Kanaan added: “I thank all the professors with whom I communicated personally or through intermediaries for my return from the decision to retire from the field of acting and the most appropriate way for me to work that matches the love of my fans and the keenness of my fans on the level of my work and the support of all friends and followers who see my position and my capabilities.”
The Syrian artist received many blessings from artists, activists and followers, happy with her decision to back out of retirement, noting that she made the right decision.
In October 2020, the Syrian artist, Rabab Kanaan, surprised the audience and followers of her own account on the “Facebook” website, by announcing her retirement from art permanently, without revealing the reason behind it.
The Syrian artist, who confirmed that this page is the only one affiliated with her, and through which she announces this news, wrote: “Through my only page on social media, I announce my retirement.”
This news caused a great interaction between her followers and her fans, amid astonishment on the part of some about this decision, especially as she did not prepare for it in advance or indicate that she was thinking about it, but some wished her success in her life.
The Syrian artist presented many successful roles in the Syrian drama, where she became famous for the character “Maya” in the series “The Four Seasons”, while her last artistic participation in the theater was as an assistant director of the play “Adrenaline”.
