His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, stressed that the revival of Flag Day reflects the pride of the people of the UAE in their homeland, their belonging to it, and their determination to continue the path of prosperity and sustainable development that began since the establishment of the State of the Union.
On this dear national occasion, His Highness said: “The UAE flag is a symbol of our union, a title of our pride and glory, a determinant of our identity and culture, and an affirmation of the absolute confidence of the people of the Emirates that we are moving together towards creating a bright future under the leadership of my brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State”, may God protect him. “Devoted to the firm approach and sound opinion, and to the march of achievements and successes laid down by the founding fathers.”
His Highness added: “The banner of our homeland is as lofty as our mountains, as high as our ambitions, and as strong as our unyielding will, and it will continue to flutter in all fields of glory with the lofty and fathers of the sons of the Emirates.”
His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi extended his warmest congratulations and blessings to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the State, The Ruler of Dubai, may God preserve him, and his brothers, Their Highnesses Sheikhs, members of the Supreme Council of the Union, rulers of the Emirates, and citizens and residents of the country on this dear national occasion, stressing that the Flag Day is an opportunity to express belonging, loyalty and love for the homeland.
